On October 19, Albertans will vote on 10 questions in a province-wide referendum. With a potential vote on Alberta separation on the ballot and questions ranging from equalization and natural resources to immigration and provincial autonomy, the referendum could have wide-ranging impacts on Alberta and Canada.

Join the UofA Non-Academic Staff Association online on Friday, October 9 from noon to 1:00 pm for Understanding the October 19th Referendum, a virtual conversation with Brad Lafortune, executive director of Public Interest Alberta.

Lafortune will unpack the 10 referendum questions, walk through what each question is actually asking, and discuss the potential consequences for public services, workers, and everyday Albertans.
